Crown Rewards is Crown Perth’s loyalty and membership program for eligible adults. It lets members earn and redeem Points across participating Crown facilities and access tier-based benefits. At the casino, it also has a practical role: a valid Crown Rewards Membership Card is required for electronic gaming machine play under Crown Perth’s current carded-play system.

The Crown app and Member Hub are tools for membership, rewards and planning Crown experiences. They are not an online casino account, and Crown does not operate an online casino. Current joining can begin in the app or at a Crown Rewards desk, with identification verification required to complete membership.

What Crown Rewards is

Crown Rewards is Crown’s loyalty program across participating Crown facilities. At Perth it connects casino activity with other parts of the resort, including hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping and parking benefits. Members can earn Points at participating facilities and use them for eligible Crown experiences, subject to the current program rules.

The program has five membership levels: Member, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black. Status Credits determine progression through most tiers, while Black is by invitation. Benefits vary by tier, so a tier name should not be treated as a guarantee of every benefit without checking the current benefits page.

How to join at Crown Perth

Crown currently offers two main joining routes. You can start through the Crown app and then visit a Crown Rewards desk to verify identification and collect a membership card, or you can apply at a Crown Rewards desk with acceptable identification. Membership is free and is available to eligible individuals aged 18 or over under the current rules.

The app route is a sign-up shortcut, not a way to gamble online. The membership only becomes effective after the application details and acceptable identification have been accepted and registered in the Crown Rewards database.

Identification for membership

For app-based sign-up, Crown currently lists an Australian driver’s licence or learner’s permit, Australian passport, or foreign passport as acceptable identification. At a Crown Rewards desk, the published list also includes a New Zealand driver’s licence or learner’s permit, Australian ImmiCard, and Australian Proof of Age Card or Photo Card.

Points and participating facilities

Crown says members can earn Points when they play, dine, shop or stay at participating facilities. On the casino floor, the exact earning mechanism depends on the activity. The program is therefore broader than a gambling-only loyalty card.

Points can be redeemed for eligible Crown experiences such as dining, shopping, hotel stays, casino activity and parking. Redemption conditions and participating facilities can change, so the useful planning question is where you expect to spend at Crown, not simply how large a points balance looks in isolation.

Status Credits and tiers

Status Credits are used to determine membership tier. Crown’s current tier page says 500 Casino Points convert to one Status Credit for Table Games and Gaming Machines, while other participating categories use different ratios. The membership cycle runs for twelve months, with tier review on 1 October.

Earning ratios are program rules and can change. If tier progression matters, use the current Crown Rewards rules rather than assuming an older ratio still applies.

Why membership matters for gaming machines

At Crown Perth, Crown Rewards is more than an optional points mechanism for electronic gaming machines. Current Crown guidance requires a valid Crown Rewards Membership Card for EGM play. That requirement links membership to the venue’s carded-play controls.

Table games and poker use the card differently

Crown’s current guidance says a valid Crown Rewards Membership Card is required for EGM play but is not presently required to play Table Games or Electronic Table Games. Members can still present the card for qualifying rewards activity where the program applies.

Member Hub and Crown app

The Crown Rewards Rules define the Member Hub as an online account for a member, accessible through approved Crown channels such as the website or authorised app. The app is used to manage Crown Rewards and plan Crown experiences, including the membership sign-up path.

This digital account should not be confused with an online casino account. Crown Perth is a physical casino, and Crown does not operate an online casino. The app and Member Hub support the loyalty and resort relationship rather than online casino wagering.

Current benefits

Current Member-level benefits advertised by Crown include member birthday offers, selected restaurant pricing and offers, hotel privileges and options connected with parking. Higher tiers add or change benefits, with the exact package depending on the tier and current program terms.

Crown Rewards desk hours

The Crown Rewards desk inside the casino near the entrance closest to Crown Metropol is currently listed as open from 8:30am to 2:30am Monday through Sunday. Crown notes that hours for other Rewards desks can vary.

If you need in-person identity verification or card collection, the relevant desk schedule matters more than the casino’s general opening hours. Plan the membership step around the desk you actually intend to use.

Membership is not the same as casino entry

A Crown Rewards card can be important for EGM play and rewards, but it should not be treated as a universal substitute for venue entry requirements or identification. Crown’s membership rules and casino access rules answer different questions.

Joining Crown Rewards creates a loyalty membership; it does not create a wagering account and it does not make the membership card mandatory for every casino activity.

How to decide whether to join

Joining makes the most practical sense if you plan to use EGMs, want to earn eligible Points, or expect to use participating Crown facilities often enough for member benefits to matter. If your only purpose is a one-off table-game visit, the current card requirement is different, although rewards may still be relevant.

Before joining for a specific benefit, confirm that it applies to your current tier. Before using EGMs, make sure the membership card is valid and ready for carded play.

When Crown Rewards is most useful

Crown Rewards is a free venue loyalty program, not an online casino account. At Crown Perth it supports Points, tier benefits, Member Hub/app access and, importantly, the membership card required for EGM carded play. Five membership levels

Crown currently structures Rewards across Member, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black levels. Progression is tied to Status Credits for the published tiers, while Black is by invitation. The practical value of a tier depends on which benefits you will actually use, such as dining, hotel or parking privileges, rather than on the tier label alone.

Benefits can be revised between membership cycles. Crown published updated Rewards Rules effective 24 April 2026, so a visitor relying on a particular parking, hotel, dining or other tier benefit should use Crown’s current benefit table and rules.

Membership cycle and account activity

The current rules define a twelve-month Membership Cycle, and Crown’s tier information says membership tiers are reviewed on 1 October. Status Credits accumulated during the relevant cycle determine tier status under the published rules. That makes timing relevant for someone deliberately working toward a tier.

An occasional visitor may care more about immediate eligibility and usable benefits than about maximising tier progression. Hotel, dining, retail and casino activity can contribute to the Crown Rewards relationship in different ways.

Digital access without online gambling

The terminology can be confusing because Crown Rewards includes an Account, Member Hub and authorised smartphone app. In the program rules, these are membership and loyalty concepts. They hold or expose information such as membership details, Points and Status Credits and provide approved ways to access the Rewards relationship.

None of that changes the product boundary. Crown Perth does not offer online casino gambling. A digital Crown Rewards login can coexist with a land-based casino because the login manages membership rather than an internet wagering balance.

Planning around in-person verification

Starting in the app can reduce the amount of initial registration work at the venue, but Crown’s current join flow still directs the applicant to a Crown Rewards desk to verify ID and collect the membership card. If you need the card for EGM play, leave time for that in-person step before planning a gaming-machine session.

The casino-area Rewards desk is currently listed from 8:30am to 2:30am every day, while other desk hours vary. That is a useful operational distinction for late-night visitors: the casino itself may be open while a particular membership service point has its own timetable.
